Came across a DVD of this jam/gig from that summer. I had a few weeks in LA taking private lessons and then took a week’s summerschool at LA Music Academy – I got so much from the private lessons in particular and the chance to focus exclusively on music for a month or so. I’m very grateful for my wife’s support at that time. The summerschool was great, particularly for the lovely people I got out hang out with, making music all day every day!

I’ve improved a lot of things since then, notably intonation! But the experience that summer certainly set me on the way to becoming a better musician!
